The Government of the Republic of Croatia has adopted a plan of legislative activities for 2021 which foresees amendments to the current whistleblowing legislation (adopted in 2019) to be adopted in the third trimester of the upcoming year.

Such legal amendments were also foreseen by the Plan of harmonization of legislation with the Acquis Communautaire for 2021 which was determined during the same Government session.

Human Rights House Zagreb published a 2018 report on the protection of whistleblowers in Croatia which sets out recommendations for reform.
