A new whistleblowing law is currently being discussed in Parliament.
At the end of last week in an overtime session of the Legal Committee, the draft law was accepted without any discussions. On January 20 2023 it was on the Parliament session’s agenda and was accepted on the first reading.
The second reading will take place this week with no public discussions. A whistleblowing law will likely be approved by the end of the week.
The European Commission has begun infringement proceedings against many of the 27 Member States which have not adopted laws before the 17 December 2021 deadline.
