A new whistleblowing law to transpose the EU Directive on whistleblowing has been adopted in the Czech Republic.
The Bill was delivered to the President for signature on 5 June and signed on 7 June 2023.
The new law has been sent for publication in the official collection of laws and will come into effect on 1 August 2023.
The Czech Republic is delayed in transposing the Directive. All 27 EU Member States were required to fully transpose the Directive by 17 December 2021. Only two countries have not yet adopted legislation – Estonia and Poland.
