In honour of International Whistleblower Day, Anti-Corruption NGO Transparency International France has announced several initiatives aimed at bolstering whistleblower protections and raising public awareness. These efforts include the publication of a practical guide for whistleblowers, participation in the EU-wide SAFE for Whistleblowers project, and a dedicated campaign to better inform citizens of their rights under the whistleblower framework.

As part of its efforts, TI France has released a practical guide to help whistleblowers understand the legal protections they are entitled to and how to navigate the reporting process safely. The guide offers step-by-step advice on how to file reports, what protections exist against retaliation, and where to find legal and psychological support, especially following the transposition of the EU Directive on Whistleblowing (2019/1937) into national law.

Alongside these national efforts, Transparency International France is also actively participating in the SAFE for Whistleblowers project, a European Union initiative focused on creating a more supportive environment for whistleblowers across the EU. The project seeks to promote best practices, provide training, and ensure that the legal safeguards established by the EU Directive are properly implemented across member states. Transparency International France, along with its European partners, is developing tools and training programmes to enhance whistleblower support systems and raise awareness about their rights and protections.
