The Ministry of Justice in the Czech Republic has presented a draft law on whistleblowing protections for public consultation. The comment procedure is to be open for 30 days, Deputy Minister Jeroným Tejc told the Press.
The Czech legal system does currently not have a comprehensive whistleblowing framework. The new proposal introduces, among other things, new criminal offences, both for retaliation against whistleblowers of reporting knowingly false information.
