The Government of Estonia has approved a Bill to transpose the EU Directive on Whistleblowing.

The proposal & Draft Act on the Protection of Whistleblowers of Work-related Violations of European Union Law establishes a framework for receipt of reports on breaches of Union law that have become known through work-related activities, for the provision of follow up and feedback and for the protection of the whistleblower.

The Bill now progresses to be considered in Parliament.
