Public consultation on a new draft whistleblowing law on to transpose the EU Directive on whistleblowing has now closed. Four consultation responses were formally submitted and two opinion comments posted directly at online consultation portal.
One of the comments submitted highlights the overlap between the provisions of the draft legislation with Chapter VIII of the Administrative Procedure Code “Suggestions and Signals.” The draft law does not afford enough clarity on serious potential conflict between the provisions of two legal acts and thus creates significant legal uncertainty.
