The whistleblower protection law has received media attention in France. The new legislation, introduced in 2022 and known as ‘the Waserman Act’ – was adopted to reform France’s whistleblowing legislation and bring it in line with the requirements of the 2019 EU Directive on Whistleblowing.
During the interview with Ram05, Manon Yzermans, legal officer at Maison des Lanceurs d’Alerte (MLA) – a French non-profit organization that supports whistleblowers with legal, psychological, and administrative assistance – outlined the support available and detailed key aspects of the Waserman Act.
