The Whistleblowing International Network has published an English translation of the article ‘Heroes do not have a voice’ by Marcin Waszak at The Stefan Batory Foundation.
The article details the difficulties faced by healthcare whistleblowers in Poland and the government efforts to silence them, stating ‘Defying both law and logic, those who reveal the true scale of neglect and errors across Poland’s healthcare system have been silenced since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.’
Poland does not currently have any comprehensive whistleblowing protection legislation in place.
