“We expect the Portuguese government to strengthen the anti-corruption agenda by passing a whistleblower protection law that leaves no one behind. It is urgent to protect people who fall outside the scope defined in the EU Directive on Whistleblowing, such as victims or witnesses of bad governance and mismanagement outside the workplace and professional relationships, prostitution and human trafficking, domestic violence, environmental crimes, amongst other situations.”
